Halloween

We had a great Halloween. We went to a trunk or treat at the elementary and then to my cousin's Halloween Party/Wedding Reception. It was a lot of fun and the kids got tons of candy.
The only downfall was Gabe and Parker were sick Thursday and Friday so we did miss out on the elementary Halloween Carnival but made up for it by watching "scary" movies like The Neverending Story, Double Double, Toil and Trouble (starring Mary-Kate and Ashlee Olsen when they were seven), and Labyrinth. Spooky!

We Love the Water Falls

We love going to the mountains in autumn. The colors are beautiful. This year was a bit cold and the kids wanted to just rush through our little hike to the water falls. I couldn't blame them. I don't know if we have ever been so fast at the Falls. They are beautiful though.

Flag Football

Gabe started flag football on Saturday. Matt is coaching his team. Gabe loved it. I think he'll love it even more when he knows how to play. He played hard. After the game I told him he was really good at football and he said, "Yeah, I know."

I don't think Gabe loved his mouthpiece. He kept it in but I think it was pretty distracting.

Our Summer in a Nutshell

We had a busy summer and a lot of fun!

Parker turned 4!

We moved from here.

To here.

We went on a trip to Southern Utah with Matt's family. It was a lot of fun.We hiked up to Hundred Hands near Escalante.

We went to Devil's Garden on the Hole in the Rock road. It was amazing.

And really sandy and dirty.

We went on a hike through a petrified forest.

After so much hiking this was MaKyra's favorite sign.

It was so much fun!

Sleeping on the Job

What have Parker and Peyton been up to? Fishing and sleeping.

In a Nutshell

Gabe graduated from kindergarten. We were so proud of him. He has done such a great job this year. He has worked hard and learned so much.

MaKyra and Gabe had an art show at their school. They each did a self-portrait as well as other pictures. One of MaKyra's pictures was entered into a art contest and she took 3rd in the state. She received a ribbon, certificate, and $5.00. She was really excited. I thought it was so neat. She loves art and is quite good at it too.

Nice portrait Gabe. Lookin good.

MaKyra also participated in dance again this year, but she was excited to have her cousin, Addie in class with her. Kyra did such a great job at her recital.

Gabe was in gymnastics this year. He did really well. He is really strong and loves doing gymnastics. He did great at his recital and earned a medal. Parker wanted to be in the picture too and show off his hurt knee.

Sledding!

The kids love heading out to play in the snow. I would rather stay in from the cold and read a good book but that was not the case this day. Fun in the snow. We didn't have enough sleds so we rigged up the kiddie pool to do the job. It turned out to be everyone's favorite sled.

Parker got stuck on his way out of the Rhino. He was suspended about a foot in the air. It was pretty funny.

MaKyra's Baptism

MaKyra was baptized on Jan. 2, 2010. It was such a special day. She was so nervous but so happy. I was surprised at how nervous I was too. I can't believe my little girl is eight years old already. Where did the time go.

Disneyland!

Disneyland is where dreams come true! I think that is a motto. Well, it did for us. We had so much fun. It was pretty crazy with four adults and thirteen kids, but we played hard. I love going on rides - the faster the better, but surprisingly in the end my two favorite rides may have been Winni the Pooh and Star Tours. You just can't beat Star Tours. Winni the Pooh I loved because it was the first ride that Gabe absolutely loved. He laughed and smiled from ear to ear. I thought it was really fun. MaKyra loved Small World and Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain - although her eyes were glued shut the whole time.
We also loved Mickey's Toon Town. I took the Gabe and my niece Randilyn over to Toon Town. They were the youngest there and didn't love the big rides. MaKyra and my nephew Jacob came along. It was such a fun place. We kind of hurried through it. Next time I will spend more time there. (In case you are wondering where my two babies, Parker and Peyton were. They were staying with my mom.)

We loved it and can't wait for the next time to go back.
