4th of July

We love the 4th of July! Fishing ponds, bounce houses, racing and fireworks. The whole day was just relaxing and nice. I love starting off the 4th with flag raising. It brings so much respect and patriotism to the day. The kids love the foot races. They all did so well. My camera batteries died as Gabe was getting ready to race so I only got the picture of Parker. Parker won his race. Granted, he raced with the 1 year olds when he turned 2 the following day. I think he will do great things with his money prize of 75 cents.

10 years . . . and it is done!

Saturday was our 10 year high school reunion. Since I was the Senior Class President, I was in charge. This knowledge has followed me around for 10 years. Not fun. For the last 8 months, my fabulous committee and myself have been planning and finding missing classmates. I thought the reunion day would never come and now it has come and gone. We had a picnic in the park for classmates and their families and that night we had a dinner at the Shilo Inn. I was pleased with how well it turned out and extremely relieved it was over. Here are a few pictures from the joyous occasion.

Spray Park

A day at the park. MaKyra and Parker love the Spray Park. Gabe hasn't decided if he likes it or not. I think he is leaning toward not liking it but time will tell. One thing they all love is the carousel. Isn't summer fun?!

T-ball

MaKyra has been playing T-ball this June. It has been fun and cute. She loves hitting and is pretty good. I think she loves being in the out field, but seems more interested in digging in the dirt than catching the balls.

MaKyra's Dance Recital

MaKyra had her dance recital a couple of weeks for ago. (It is about time I loaded my pictures.) I was disappointed because her pictures turned out blurry. I don't know what I did wrong, but oh well. She did such a great job. She really loves dancing. One really fun thing about the night is the dance company owner does a drawing with all the kids' names in it for free dance lessons the next year. We won!! She drew MaKyra's name. I couldn't believe it. Yeah us!! Free dance for a year.

Ultrasound

I had my ultrasound on Wednesday. Our family has been looking forward to this for awhile now. When I told MaKyra the ultrasound was that day, she said, "We get to go see my baby sister." I began talking to her about how it could be a boy - like I do everyday. Nevertheless, there was no changing her mind. Later that day we picked MaKyra and Gabe up from school and headed to the doctor. The kids were impatient watching the ultrasound when they realized we had to look at the head, heart, lungs, etc. before finding out what we were having. Finally they did tell us. It's a girl!! So exciting. I am surprised the whole doctor's office didn't hear Makyra's squeals of joy. I am so happy to have another little girl coming to our home.

Field Trip!

Gabe and I went on a field trip with MaKyra's class. We went to a petting zoo and saw baby bears. It was so fun. MaKyra was really excited to have Gabe there. Gabe loved the whole thing. He has talked about it everyday since.
