Marshmallow Roast

All the kids were hoping to have a marshmallow roast at Grandma's. Finally after much asking we sent the kids out to dig a pit and line it with rocks. They did it and we had a pit. The kids all loved roasting the marshmallows and having smores. The marshmallow roast wasn't the only camping thing we did. We even slept out in tents. It was Peyton and Parker's first time sleeping in a tent. They were very excited.

Fun in the Sun!

What is summer without the Spray Park? We love it - especially going with cousins.I don't think Gabe's ready to be wet with that high of water.

All the kids hid under the slide while waiting for the big bucket to drop.

The kids had so much fun. It is the first year none of my kids have been scared to get wet which meant a more relaxing time for me to kick back and watch.

I Can't Believe I Am 31!

For my birthday this year we went to Kung Fu Panda 2. It was so cute. Then we headed to Panda Express for dinner. Since I don't love cake, we substituted with Lofthouse cookies. Yum! It was a fun birthday!

Parker's Family Party

Happy Birthday to Parker. It was fun to have Devri, Brad and kids in town for a family birthday party. We love having parties with our cousins!

4th of July!

The 4th of July is my favorite holiday! The kids with their treasures. The boys found swords and the girls found light-up, singing butterflies.

Then it was race time. Peyton and Parker were feeling a bit shy about running.

Gabe and MaKyra raced hard and ran so fast. Gabe even slid into the finish line.

Fireworks Show

Matt and Brad put on a great fireworks show to get us ready for the 4th of July.

The kids were ready and excited for it to start.I don't think any of us expected the show we got.

Not only fireworks but dare devil tricks as well.

Grandpa Guy

My Grandpa Guy is the best Grandpa anyone could ever have. I am so grateful for having him in my life. He taught me games like "Here Stands a Post" and "Don't Smile." He was a master with wood work and loved to tease us grandkids. He loves Grandma and you know it whenever you see them together. I have so many wonderful memories with Grandpa I can't name them all but I do cherish them. My Grandpa Guy passed away on June 23, 2011. He was surrounded by his family. It was hard to see him suffer. When I received the call that Grandpa had passed, I felt peaceful and calm. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know I will see my Grandpa again. I know he will be with my Grandma forever. I love my Grandpa. He is a wonderful man. I am blessed to have him in my life.
Grandpa's funeral was on June 30, 2011. It was wonderful. The tribute given and testimony of our Savior were perfect. I was honored to sing a song with the granddaughters. We sang "Each Life that Touches Ours for Good," from the LDS Hymn book. I love that song. The great-grandkids sang "I am a Child of God" and "Families Can Be Together Forever." It was beautiful.

Bear Lake Comes to an End

We had so much fun in Bear Lake. It was sad to see it end. We did have a great time. We stopped at a burger joint on the way out of town to get some lunch. They had this funky butterfly bench that we just had to try out.

We also couldn't resist a photo with this massive bear.
