The Easter Bunny Came!

This year the Easter Bunny came on Friday night. I have heard of families do this just to break up the holiday. Saturday can focus more on the Easter Egg Hunts and Easter candy and Sunday can be more focused on Christ and His atonement and Resurrection. I loved the idea. The Easter Bunny came and hid the candy-filled baskets. Yum! He was definitely tricky this year. Peyton found her basket behind the end table. MaKyra found her basket above the cabinets.

Gabe found his basket hooked to the ceiling fan. That bunny can sure jump high!
I don't know why Parker isn't in the picture with his basket but the Easter Bunny hooked it to the light.
Once the baskets are found the candy feast began. The kids got candy and glowsticks in their baskets. We had already bought them their Easter clothes so those were already in their closets.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

We had a little Easter Egg Hunt with our neighbor kids. So much fun. They are lined up and ready to go! Off looking for the eggs. We hid some pretty well but nothing slowed the kids down. They found all the eggs and they found them fast.

The best part is sitting back and enjoying the spoils! Yum!

Spring Break

For Spring Break we kept busy with Spring/Easter Crafts. Here are some of our works of art. We made snails, eggs, and spring flowers. A monkey and bunny made an appearance as well. We played with friends. They worked hard and all together on the puzzle. We went to cousin Ryker's birthday party!! Fun, fun! When we thought we were out of things to do Peyton pulled out the camera to take pictures. So we sat on my bed and took several. As I looked through all of the pictures, I got a kick out of seeing the doll sneaking into Peyton's close up. I thoght is was so funny because I didn't even notice MaKyra put it there when I was taking it. MaKyra and of course the favorite doll, Rebecca. Horrible picture of me but atleast I have a face. Many of the pictures Peyton took of me only had part of my head - if any at all.

Pinewood Derby

Gabe's first Pinewood Derby was a success. His car was pretty fast. I am so glad because when it comes to making cars I don't know much about it. Luckily Matt and my dad knew a bit. The car was really slow but then Gabe's scout leaders put some graphite on the wheels and away it went. It was such a fun night. Here's Gabe's car racing to the finish line. I can't tell what lane its in but I'll just say its the one in first.

Tired girl

Peyton was so tired that she made herself a bed and went to sleep.

Get-a-Way with the Girls

My mom, sisters and I went to Denver for a week of shopping and relaxing. It was so much fun. We ate such good food - Happy Sumo, White Chocolate Grill, Tokyo Joe's and other yummy places. We shopped and shopped. Loved going to the American Girl store. This is in front of Rebecca (MaKyra's doll.) I also fell in love with another store - Anthropologie. Too expensive for me but definitely loved it.

January Grill

What a weird winter! We just haven't had snow. Maybe a skiff here or there but basically no snow. If there is no snow and not much cold, why not grill. A bit of summer in the bleak strange winter. It was yummy! Matt is a great cook!

Tiaras and Football

Miss America landed on the same night as Broncos football. So we divided and conquered. Boys in the living room and girls in my room for lots of fun. It was great. The food was great too - chips and salsa, white chocolate popcorn, chocolate pretzels, soda, and more. What fun!

My Little Cub Scout

Gabe is old enough for Scouts now. Tonight was his first night. He was soooo excited. He also had a great time. I used to serve in Scouts and has been looking forward to this day for a couple of years now. He has been working at home on earning his Bobcat badge. He memorized the Cub Scout Promise and Law of the Pack. He worked so hard to get it all memorized. I am so proud of him.
